Kona Stinky 2-4

$450 GBP
Kona Stinky 2-4. Will consider trade with larger bike. This is my son's greatly loved bike which he is now just growing out of. For size info, the frame is a 13". My son is 12yrs old and 4' 10" and is now just about too big for the bike. I've included a couple of photos to show the scale of the bike. The bike has brought my lads riding on tremendously. It is one of very few properly designed kids bikes and is suitable for both DH and all mountain riding. This bike has had upgraded forks and wheels fitted to make it even more capable, and even comes with a good spare set of tyres. It has double front rings and bash guard, and 8-speed rear cassette. As far as I can see, the newer, but lower spec, version retails at around £1400! The spec is as follows: Frame: 13" Fork: Marzocchi Bomber Drop Off - 130mm with lock-out. (Upgraded from the original DJ's). Stanchions perfect. Wheelset: Atomlab 24" (Ugrade from originals, and very pimp!) Tyres: Halo Ception (F) Tioga (R) Shock: Fox coil. Brakes: Hayes Stroker Ryde. Bars: Raceface Pedals: Kona Jack Sh*t Rear mech: Shimano XT Viewing is recommended and welcome. Test ride possible in the local woods! The bike is not in new condition as it has been ridden hard, but is in great working order and ready to go for the next little ripper. If you need the bike sent, we can courier for £30 with it packed professionally by the LBS. Good luck, and ask any questions.

Specialized Status 2 medium

$1400 GBP
Going travelling for a year, so need to sell my bikes and consolidate in to one all-rounder that I can fit in the van. Bought the Status2 for my 40th in April, It's a superb DH bike with awesome reviews. Here's one from Bike Mag: The Specialized Status II may not offer the bling factor of some other steeds in this category, but it’ll line up and smoke bikes that cost twice as much. This isn’t just another solid bike for the price—it’s simply a phenomenal bike. The fact that it is affordable is merely the icing on the cake. Specialized built the Status II from the ground up to fit into a specific price range. Even though the Status is Specialized’s ‘budget bike,’ it could easily be another company’s flagship model. With sleek, simple lines, a proven suspension platform and solid build, this bike destroys the Demo 8 from five years ago. If you’re still skeptical of the Status’ burly credentials, consider this fact: Darren Berrecloth chose a Status as his rig of choice for his line of death-defying drops at the 2012 Red Bull Rampage near Virgin, Utah. Fox Van rear shock and Boxxers up front. The bike is sorted and essentially your getting a new DH bike..I've taken the hit from new for you! Looking for a Commencal SX, Trek Slash or Scratch, Spicy, Nukeproof Mega, NS Soda or similar so happy to trade if we can agree. I just need a burly bike I can ride in the Alps, then cane around the hills in Portugal for months on end. (Don't be too jealous!) The Status2 has not long had it's first service and check up. Only stuck some Try Lee ODI's on, other than that it's standard and totally ready to roll. There are a few scuffs on the chain stay from an uplift and a little scuff on one of the fork clamps, but other than that it's as new. Can send the bike using my LBS. They will pack it professionally and courier it for £30. Based in Cornwall if you want to take a look. Cheers.
