Specialized Epic Expert - Large

$560 GBP
This bike was my pride and joy for several years between 2010-15. It was my first 'proper mountain bike' and took me onto trails and distances I never thought I'd be able to ride. Purchased off a friend who'd owned it since new in 2010 (he'd practically never ridden it). Bike had a service in 2015 by 1868 racing in Llanrwst which included full frame bearing replacement, new bottom bracket, headset greased up (and possibly a new one installed - can't quite remember), new gear cables and gears indexed, brake bleed and new pads. Drive chain still has some life left in it. Ridden with light use for a few months after the service but then has been in storage ever since. Only thing it needs is the shocks could do with a service and new bushings on the rear shock (as there is play in them): this only became of particular note just before I stopped using this bike so I never had it fixed. It however appears to be a cheap fix from someone like TF Tuned. Minor paint rub in a few places (tried to show in photos) but only cosmetic and nothing structural/cracks/dents etc. Spec is as follows: 2008 M5 FSR frame (Large) Fox 32 series II (100mm travel) Specialized AFR inertia Brain air spring rear shock (100mm travel) Specialized seat & post Specialized XC stem & bars 1 1/8″ threadless, alloy cups w/ 10mm insertion, sealed cartridge bearing headset Custom Avid Ultimate 7 brakes (hydraulic disc with 160/185mm rotors) Sram X-9 shifters Sram x-0 Blackbox rear derailleur Shimano Deore LX front derailleur Shimano drivetrain & cranks DT Swiss quick release axles DT swiss 420 SL rims Lizard skins grips (best grips I've ever ridden!) Continental Mountain king 2.2 tyres (the mk1 tread pattern, but I always found them great (the Black Chilli ones and still plenty left on the tread)) Bike will come with pedals (flats). Should make a great Christmas present for someone either looking for a 2nd-hand entry into the sport or wanting something lightweight that can cover some serious mileage with ease. Sound bet for trail centres and putting in the miles in the countryside. Buyer more than welcome to view before purchasing. Give me a shout if you've got any questions. Based in Shropshire but happy to consider local delivery/meeting half-way.
