Photo Epic: XC Finals - 2018 Val di Sole World Cup
The speed Nino went through that last rock garden and that last downhill section was simply unreal. Amazing.

What the Heck is a Down-Country Bike? - Opinion
2018 Giant Anthem Advanced. 110/130 travel and bought this for where we ride in Malaysia as you will see everyone riding enduro bikes for maybe 2 weeks, then for sale online as they bought too much bike for the trails. Don’t think any more categories are needed but as riders, we evolve the bikes to what and where we ride. We don’t need more names and categories. The anthem though ticks most of the boxes and is fast and by adding on DHFs to it (from standard Forecasters) it feels like a really solid fast ride. No new names/groups required ????

The Mountain Bike Technology Wishlist - Opinion
Shorter travel bikes are on the way back. Just bought a 2018 Giant Anthem Advanced 1 with 110/130 travel when most of th people in Malaysia are riding Nomads for XC trails. I love my Nomad for travelling as you can hit up the North Shore Whistler and still pedal mellow XC loops on it. But was looking for a change and the shorter travel bikes I think will be coming back. If you can get it set up right you'll never notice the difference except shedding weight and feeling a hell of a lot faster. The old version of this bike was classed by Giant as XC and this year it's XC Trail which I think is a great name for shorter travel capable bikes.

The New Santa Cruz Nomad is Longer and Slacker Than Ever – First Ride
Think I'll stick with my V3 Nomad. Never saw anything wrong with it and the V4 seems unnecessary.

Do Wheels Need to Cost So Much? – Interview – Sea Otter 2017
Have a set of Spank Enduro race 28 wheels....2 years of riding with a Clydesdale rider and true as could be.... Could save maybe 200g if I spent another 3x the price.... Just can't see what all the fuss is now...Just seems to be ridiculous with some of the prices and the need to put carbon everywhere...
