Hi. I am in Winnipeg and am in search of a used (albeit well cared for and maintained) mountain bike for my 8 yo (4’6” tall with 24.5” inseam). Looking for a hardtail with 24” or 26” rims (depending on the standover height of different makes/models), an air fork, 1x drivetrain, and decent components. I’m hoping for something relatively light and maneuverable that will both climb and descend (primarily for cross country and single track riding, with the occasional downhill), so not really looking at full suspension setups in this price range. I’m therefore ideally hoping to find a lightly ridden Trailcraft Pineridge 24, Trailcraft Timber 26, Specialized Riprock Expert 24, Commencal Meta HT 24, Commencal Meta HT Jr. (26”), or similar. My budget is around $1000 CAD, but is somewhat flexible, so please feel free to let me know what you’ve got and what you’d be willing to part with it for. Would definitely prefer a local transaction, but might be willing to pay shipping for the right bike at the right price. Thanks in advance!
