Medium Transition scout for sale with a really nice build spec. This has been an amazing bike for the time I’ve owned it, easily the most fun trail bike I’ve ridden. Transitions are know for being well built and very tough, perfect for UK riding with our wet, muddy and rocky riding conditions. Spec below: Fox Float 34 Factory 150mm FIT forks, Stans Flow EX 27.5” rims on Hope Pro 2 rear hub/formula front with recently replaced Maxxis High roller II 2.4 3c Terramax Tubless tyres, Thomson Elite dropper post with internal routing, Rockshox Monarch RT rear shock, Shimano XT Clutch rear mech, shifters and cassette, Shimano XT M8000 Brakes, Raceface Turbine cranks with Hope 32T chainring, Raceface SIXC Carbon 780mm wide Handlebars, Thomson stem, Ragley saddle, Hope integrated Headset and Hope seatclamp. Forks and shock serviced 4 months ago and only ridden a handful of times since. The bike is well looked after and rides beautifully, there are a few chips, scratches and cable rubs on the frame and forks as expected from a nearly 3 year old mountain bike. There are a few very tiny scratches on the fork stanchion as pictured.. which do not effect the fork in any way, no oil loss etc. And the rebound adjuster knob is missing from the bottom of the fork - seen this a lot on this shape fox 34. I’m open to sensible offers and I will accept cash on collection only, I can also meet people coming from up north around the Lakes area as I’m there most weekends.. or even drop it off if you live in South lakes/Lancaster area. Orange Five frame in size medium (17") with Cane Creek DB Inline rear shock. This shocks transforms the five and enables you to fine tune the damping to minimize pedal bob which you always get on Fives. It has just been refurbished by Orange including a repaint in Fizzy Orange with new decals, bearings and head badge etc so it looks absolutely fantastic and is as new. It is a 2013 model year so It takes 26" wheels and has the Maxle 135x12mm swing arm, Tapered head tube, 140mm travel and 30.9mm seat tube diameter. I purchased a new frame while the five was away at Orange that I've fancied for a while and at a very good price so I couldn't say no! and unfortunately I can't have both so it has to go! I have decided it is time to sell my Cove Shocker. I built the bike up 6 months ago as i had wanted one for bloody ages and fancied getting back into downhill racing, but since then i have only used it twice due to not getting time to head far north or south to the nearest downhill trails! For this reason i am selling it to fund a cross country machine which i will get more use out of. As you can see on the photos, the bike is in lovely condition but with the usual chips and scrapes from transport and storage, particularly on the forks the scratches show up quite clearly because Rockshox chose to use a white undercoat. The cove rides absolutely fantastically and I really don't want to sell it but its just a shame having it sat in my garage doing nothing. The frame is a 2009 Medium (17.5") with a TF Tuned Fox DHX5 shock fitted with a 450lb spring. I'm 5ft 8 and about 12 stone and its absolutely spot on. The frame has been stripped and professionally repainted with new decals so it looks like brand new. The rest of the parts were transferred over from my Giant glory, The Forks are 2009 Boxxer Teams with flat crowns which were all supplied in red for that year just before the new models came out i believe. They haven't been used a great deal since new so still feel absolutely spot on. It is fitted with mavic 721 rims on hope pro 2 hubs, maxxis high roller 2.7" super tacky tyres, saint cranks, Hope bottom bracket, E-thriteen LG1 Chain device, XT shifter and mech, Limited edition Reverse Fli XXL bars, Funn direct mount stem, brand new FSA sealed headset, SDG I-beam saddle and post and avid code brakes. The rear brake lever does have a fault.. when you pull the lever the piston sticks and keeps the fluid under pressure causing the brake to stick on slightly. I only discovered this last week when i got the bike out to give it a clean, but apparantly it is a common fault with codes and can be fixed by cleaning them out and replacing the fluid and seals or replacing the lever assembly. I have priced the bike with the faulty brake in mind and after looking at some of the bikes advertised for a similar price i'd say this Cove is a lot of bike for the money!
