Brought to you by the team who bought you the iXS Cup, this is a mini downhill race series for the Under 16s. Riders will push/ride their bikes up to the start, and timing is done manually with stopwatches. Riders have no stated start time, will line up when they get to the top and leave at 30 second intervals. As many runs as they have the energy for! This is a Go-Race, and a British Cycling license is not required.

Mackay's Furniture in Edinburgh have come on board to sponsor these events, and are helping to make it a good day out for all the family, with food stalls and entertainment for the younger kids, and a BBQ for everyone.

Coaching sessions are available from Scottish Cycling. To book your place contact David Winton. [email protected] or 07908673219

ye but it is hard to get a real position like if the everyone stuck to the age groups coz there is no point in going into a lower catagory just to beat people 1 or 2 years younger

Track was amazing! Came 11th in the 15-16 category, not bad i thought since I have never really ridden DH before

It is stupid they get the times so messed up in the 1st round at the presentation i came 2nd with a time of 1:11 but then when they the released the results i came 5th but there is people who are overage in almost every category
  • 10
The overage bit isn't really the organisers fault. When I was signing on the kid above me was a few days younger than me but was in the category below me, which he shouldn't have been obviously.
