Video: The 'Science' Behind Cleat Positioning with Ben Cathro
Completely tore my Achilles last season after moving my cleats further forward! It was a decent sized drop, but landed in the landing and didn't crash. I'd gotten used to riding more road, also the shoes were also stiffer than what I had been on in the past. (They were 5-ten!) The surgery and 9 months of recovery was rough.. Rachel Atherton had a similar torn Achilles situation a few years back, but have not heard of too many other folks having similar issues? Also interested in the PT and training implications of calf strength, pedal position, huck-to-flat-ability, etc...

RockyMountain Flow 2

$295 EUR
Price reduced!! This pains me, but I am moving and it's getting hard to justify hanging on to her when I do so little dirt jumping. I'm the original owner of this beautiful and snappy DJ rig. These came in 2 sizes, a regular and a long. This is the long size. I've never ridden dirt jumps that much, so there is less wear and tear than you might expect after 10 years, but this is far from a new bike. Almost everything has been replaced and upgraded over the years. Original parts: Seat, seatpost, & cranks Rear wheel: Atomlab pimplite SS 60pt engagement hub (Very nice, strong, and snappy) These spokes do tend to loosen over time, so just something to keep an eye on. Front wheel: Specialized Roval DH 20mm thru axle wheel. (Took this off of a DH bike when I made the switch to tubeless) -slight play in the front axle bearings Tires: Maxxis Holy Roller Handle Bars: Renthal Fatbar, 30mm rise, 785mm width, uncut Stem: Easton something or other, this was nice and expensive Grips: Deity Deathgrips Fork: Manitou circus, minor scratches on one stanchion, and then the seals on the other side leak a little bit (Note this is not a tapered headset) Brake: Deore XT (Needs a bleed, but gets the job done for dirt jumping) Chainring: RaceFace narrow-wide 34tooth, Drive train has been completely replaced pretty recently and has got lots of life left. Pedals: Crankbrothers something or other, these were sweet back in the day Pictures intend to show all larger scrapes and scratches

pimped SX Trail *reduced from 2200 to 1600*

$1600 USD
I don't want to sell this, but I have to. She absolutely rips. Almost everything is upgraded. Suspension just serviced by Fox. Drive train less than a year old, still fresh as. The geometry was way ahead of its time, slack and long, rides like a full DH bike. Jumps like a kangaroo on crack. There is no trail on Whistler that I would be afraid to ride on this shred weapon. The perfect bike for exit 27 trails or Tres Hombres. Some wear on chainstays, purely cosmetic, see pictures. I ride pretty duck-footed. Fork: 2014 Fox Float 180, brand new stanchions with last service. Also comes with TALAS damper, which you can swap out if you want some travel adjust for pedaling up things. Shock: Fox Van (stock) freshly serviced. Brakes: Code calipers with XO levers. Basically, the XO trails before Avid made them. Derailleur: SRAM XO 10 speed type 2.1 med cage. Chainring: Raceface 34t narrow wide. Cranks: Truvativ Descendant (stock) Tires: Fresh Specialized Butchers (2.5) DH casing Rear wheel: Stan's HD 2.20 laced to a Spank Stiffy 40AL EVO rim (40mm wide). I built this wheel. It is the strongest stiffest wheel I have ever ridden. (setup ghetto tubeless right now) Front wheel: Mavic tubeless Handlebars: Answer Protaper 780mm 7050 series alloy bar, way stiffer than 6061 aluminum. Yeah, this bike has gold bars. Stem: Specialized (stock) Pedals: no pedals, does not come with ones pictured. Bearings are in good shape. I never wash my bike, I wait for everything to dry and then brush it off. I'm a mechanical engineer, so I'm anal about bike maintenance. Someone buy this before I change my mind. Comes with spare brake pads and grips.

Fox Van R 180mm tapered 20mm axle

$277 USD
This fork has definitely been used, but is still in great condition. The seals and oil should be replaced soon by Fox, but this costs $125 I think. I am happy to do this, but I will just add whatever they charge me to your price. Fork is super smooth, plush, and reliable. Only has preload and rebound adjustments, and preload only compresses the spring ~15mm, so its effects are hard to notice. I am about 175 lbs, and the fork was perfect for me for DH type riding. I often wished I could stiffen things up to get more pop on jumps. I wanted more adjustability, including travel adjust, so I just got a talas 36. There is cosmetic wear on the lowers including decal peel and scratches. There is one tiny pock mark on the right stanchion. I had to look hard to find this, and the photo makes it look way bigger than it actually is. Steerer tube is cut to 200mm or 7 7/8" All in all, a great freeride fork that is super dependable. The internals on this fork are so solid and dependable that they will last forever. Just need to replace the oil and seals periodically.
