Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra SLX frameset 58cm
$450 USDIt's an Eddy Merckx Corsa Extra made with Columbus SLX tubing. 58cm seat tube, 58cm top tube, 157mm head tube. Rear spacing is 130mm.
No rust but there are plenty of chips and scratches that have been touched up well. The frame is straight and has been treated with Frame Saver to prevent rust in the future. You can see that the head has broken off the dropout screw on the drive side but you can still adjust it with a screwdriver from the other end.
Italian bb threads. Record headset in good shape.
I bought it from the original owner. He couldn’t remember exactly what year he bought it, was around 1990.

Bontrager Line 29" carbon wheelset w cassette, tires
$500 USDLightly used Bontrager Line carbon wheelset. Front wheel is the Line Elite model. Rear is the Line Pro. It has a nicer hub with straight-pull spokes and faster engagement with the freehub body.
Some scratches but excellent condition overall. 30mm internal width. Tubeless tires mount without a rim strip, which is nice.
Boost axles: front is 15x110 and rear is 12x148
Includes 10-51 12spd Deore cassette and 160mm rotors. Microspline driver.
Rear tire is Specialized Purgatory 2.3”. Front is Maxxis Aggressor 2.5”. Both are in excellent condition but will be shipped unmounted.

It's a great bike for your friend who wants to try mountain biking. If you're in the NYC area, take it to Glacier Ridge and rip.
1x12 Deore drivetrain w 32t chainring, 10-49 cassette, and hydraulic brakes. Front axle is 15x100 (not Boost) and rear is 12x148 (boost). 120mm fork. Cheap dropped post with 80mm travel. No pedals.
The wheels are tubeless compatible but they have clincher tires mounted now.
