Dec 23, 2021Custom Santa Cruz Bronson Large Aluminum
$1480 USDThis was a frame-up custom build in 2016. The frame is a V1 2013 Aluminum size Large. This is a well maintained, well built, and well ridden bike. Normal wear and tear for 6 seasons of riding.
I’m open to cash offers but I am not open to any trades. Cash only please.
The Good:
This is the best/highest spec bike you’re going to get for this price. She rides great. There is less than 50 miles of riding since the last major service (at Pedal Pushers in Golden) including: all pivot/linkage bearings replaced, full fork and shock overhaul. I think it came out to like $360 worth of service.
Comes with stock fox shock and an extra set of bearings.
The Bad:
There is one lovely dent in the downtube, which is purely cosmetic (as confirmed with Santa Cruz). I have ridden the bike many times with the dent; zero impact on anything. Throw a downtube protector on there and forget it exists, the beauty of an aluminum frame.
Dropper could use a service. I installed it ~18 months ago and it worked great for the ~200 miles I’ve put on it. It’s simply time for a service, still goes up and down.
Specs:
Mavic EX471 rims laced to black Hadley Pro 4 hubs.
Chris King headset
Cromag bar and seat.
Shimano XT brakes w/ lots of pad life remaining
180mm Ice Tech Rotors w/ lots of life remaining
Full Sram X01 drivetrain, including carbon cranks and the nicer/lighter/more expensive XO1 cassette.
MRP bash guard
OneUp dropper (150mm but can be extended to 170mm)
Rockshox Pike 160mm fork
Rockshox Debonair shock
Ergon Grips
New Schwable Hans Dampf in the rear and Magic Mary up front with some life left. Thicker trail casing (similar to Minion’s Double Down casing).
Pedals not included
