Turner 5 Spot Large / XL

$800 USD
For sale or trade: my Turner 5 Spot. XL / Extra Large. Ideal for people 6'1" to 6'6". Great full suspension (FS) mountain bike (MTB) in the all mountain (AM) category. Frame is 2009 according to the guy I bought it from (works at a shop but was selling it privately), but I think it's actually an '08. WILL TRADE FOR A SIMILARLY SIZED DH BIKE, or will just sell regularly. 1x9 drivetrain, Shimano XT Juicy Avid brakes. 5.3" travel Rockshox fork (i honestly don't remember what its called) Fox RP3 Rear shock with three settings (DH, uphill, and "pro pedal) Suspension is tuned for someone weighing 185lbs. I've upgraded a lot on the bike in the last three months: New Bontrager 26" Wheels, rims, and hubs. New Tires WTB Weirwolf. (already tubeless) New Grips (ODI ruffian i believe) New Chainring New Chain New Seatpost (Gravity Turbo Dropper) New Saddle (Serfas) New rear brake line (it's off color - sorry if you're big on matching) New "bear bell" New Headset (bontrager) These upgrades cost roughly $650 combined, and that's including the discounted prices i got them for. (the wheelset and the dropper seatpost were the main culprits) handlebar was replaced last year. It's a carbon handlebar, so it scratches easily... but it's ridiculously firm. I have other saddles you could change out, as well as other grips. I've swapped out a lot of the parts over the years and would be more than willing to accomodate any swapout request with my overflowing collection of spare parts. Brakes and shocks were last inspected by a bike shop (pasadena cyclery) about two months ago. It's had two rides since then. Everything works great and I've kept great care of it. There are no dents in the frame. The pedals are pretty beat up because I'm an east coast rider and I still haven't gotten used to all these west coast rocks... so I was planning on riding the pedals into the ground. Pedals work fine, just show a lot of the rock strikes they've had. There is a ton of tire clearance on the frame so feel free to swap out to wider tires. I'm selling this bike because I want to buy a downhill bike. But if you have a DH bike from around the same time period, I would most certainly be willing to consider a trade. Especially if it's a canfield jedi. This is a great starter bike. Turners last forever, and the five spot is one of the top reviewed all-mountain bikes out there. Google it. If this is your first bike I can also throw in a Fox Flux helmet (Large - no falls / scratches) and some Giro all-mountain gloves (can't remember the name, but they're the highest pricepoint in Giro's lineup and have knuckle protection, etc) I know there can be some hesitancy regarding buying a bike that is >5 years old. If you want to take it for a ride with me in Pasadena / Altadena, I'd be more than happy to meet up with you at the JPL lot and do a run to the dam or el prieto so you can get a feel for it.
