East Bound and Down: Auburn, Alabama
I'm from Alabama and now live in Colorado. I LOVE going back to Bama to ride because I joke that it is like the west was about 15 years ago: an emerging scene of passionate bikers, craft beers, and ingenuity with relatively limited terrain but without all of the crowding and trail conflicts you have in places like CO and CA. In many ways it is better because the bike tech is far better than it was 15 years ago, and there is a genuine feeling of southern hospitality. Hikers stop and marvel at bikes, and everyone is way more friendlier to one another. Alabamians respect others' rights to enjoy the outdoors, whether it be hunting, hiking, fishing, or shredding and it is refreshing to see that when there is so much animosity in more densely populated areas like metro Denver/Golden/COS or a lopsided view of trail-sharing like there is in Boulder. There is excellent riding in AL, GA, TN, NC, and FL for sure and worth the trip...just don't go in the summer unless you like riding in a sauna :) Great article!! Nice to see AL represented...I've been following the work at Chewcala and cannot wait to get down there someday and ride it. Roll Tide (and War Eagle) !

The Dirt on Trestle: The Center of the USA's MTB Capital - Video
We ran into Jared Graves, Cody Kelley, Curtis Keene, and Richie Rude a couple of weeks ago training for events like the Aspen EWS. Man, one of you guys should tell them how bad this place is...I don't think they have the same insight that you do.

Pivot Phoenix DH,Saint,SixC cranks,Reynolds carbon

$4600 USD
2017 Medium Phoenix DH Team blue--bomber build--only 32lbs !! Built for the Pivot Cycles Sea Otter display this bike has seen less than a season of use and is in excellent shape. It has a few light scratches and dings from normal wear (it is a DH bike after all) but the frame has no cracks and has never seen a hard crash. I have tried to illustrate the few cosmetic dings in the photos--it rides and shifts perfect and is one of the fastest, lightest, capable DH bikes on the market. Pivot Mach 6, XX1, NEXT SL, Reynolds carbon

$4200 USD
Pivot Mach 6, XX1, Next SL, Fox 36, Reynolds Carbon Black Label, KS LEV. 26lbs!! At 26.4lbs you will not find a nicer Mach 6 kit for the money. This bike has been ridden and has scratches from normal use. The frame has no cracks, has never been warrantied, and has been covered with 3mm frame protection since I've owned it. I've tried to illustrate the few scuffs in the photos. The rear mech/thru axle have the most scratches but they work flawlessly. The cranks also have wear from rock strikes but have been mostly covered by SLIK 2mm decal and boot protectors. This bike was purchased new from, and maintained by, Golden Bike Shop for the past 2 years. I will have the fork and shock serviced and headset bearings replaced before it is sold. Both brakes were just bled and new pads were install and are solid. The wheels are true, the shifting is perfect, and the fork and shock have no leaks and are buttery smooth. 2015 Mach 6 Medium Reynolds Carbon Black Label 27.5 wheelset Fox Float 36 Factory fork Fox Float X Factory shock NEXT SL Carbon crankset with SLIK graphics protectors XX1 shifter, cassette, derailleur, chain Raceface 28T chainring.
