The bike has had many changes and most of the original components are still available to those who prefer a different set up. Currently, I have the bike set in “XC” mode, with the flip chip switched to have a higher bottom bracket, steeper head tube and seat tube angle. The tires are a lightweight and efficient combination of Maxxis Ikon and Rekon. Drivetrain has been changed out for XO1 rear derailleur and XO1 shifter. 30t wolf tooth oval chain ring, new chain and 10-52 XDR cassette completely change how fast this bike is. In this orientation the bike is a total rocket. If you prefer a more trail specific set up, I can flip the flip chip and slack out the angles and lower the bottom bracket. I would be able install wider 2.5” high roller and Assegai also. When it is like this the bike is very fun to launch off drops and to shred down long descents. Other changes currently installed are the Prologo NDR saddle, Raceface 35mm aluminum bar and stem. All the pivot bearings have been recently replaced. Bottom bracket and headset are recently serviced. Hub bearings are new. The bike rides like new. It has been professionally maintained. And ridden carefully. Selling my 2014 Trek Superlfly. This is a full suspension, carbon fiber, race rocket! 100mm of travel, e2 tapered head tube, carbon fiber handlebar, and bontrager RL wheels make this bike super fun and fast. Complete XT drivetrain includes cranks, shifter, cassette, and XT shadow plus rear derailleur. XT gears are paired with XT brakes using shimano I-spec. This allows the brakes and shifter to share one clamp for a cleaner looking installation. Adding to the clean look, while saving weight, improving efficiency, reducing redundantcy, is a Race Face narrow-wide 32 tooth front chain ring. Trek did an amazing job setting this bike up with the proper geometry and componentry. I love being able to control BOTH my front and rear suspension REMOTELY with one simple lever. Using this one lever I can switch the suspension between 3 modes; Climb, trail, and descend. (Not your run-of-the-mill lockout). Flats are a thing of the past because these wheels have been set up tubeless using Bontrager rim strips and upgraded Bontrager XR3 29x2.3 tires. These tires are a bit wider and more aggressive than typical cross country tires. The only main changes to this bike are the tires, tubeless conversion, and race face 1x10 chainring.
