DMR ExAlt - Hardcore Hardtail (Cardiff, South Wales)

$400 GBP
Custom built DMR ExAlt The Exalt frame is specifically braced and designed to take long travel forks to create an aggressive hardtail capable of tackling downhill trails. It's a relatively rare frame to come across and was ridden by Brendan Fairclough of Red Bull Rampage fame (Monster/Specialized) when he won the 2008 National Hardtail Championships. Whilst the frame itself is getting on for 10 years old, this bike was built up from scratch in 2015 using high quality components. Wide Funn Full-On bars to give a confidence inspiring ride with a short Blackspire stem to allow you to hang off the back on steep descents. 160mm Rockshox Domain 302 forks which suck up those big hits and Avid Juicy 7Hydraulics for powerful stopping power when you bottle it. The wheels are Subrosa Spanks with the front on a 20mm thru-axle for stiffness and have been fitted with almost new Maxxis Minion tyres which grip through mud as if you were riding tarmac. Shifting is dealt with by a Shimano Deore set up with a 2 by 8 speed with a very wide range. Crankset is Truvative and bearings are FSA throughout. Extremely capable rig. Plenty of rust spots where paint has been damaged by stones/rocks etc but this has absolutely no impact on the strength of the frame and only adds to the looks of the bike. This bike easily cost me double what I'm asking for but I just have too many bikes in the garage at the moment so one of them has to go :(
