I still remember where I was when I heard a radio broadcast of the tragic Hillborough incident unfolding, and seeing distressing scenes on the TV.
Hillborough is just down the road from me. I pass it to go to Wharncliffe. When I saw the stampede coverage this week I had flashbacks and felt deeply uncomfortable watching the charge, especially with a rider on track.
Respect to Ben for raising this and organisers, and spectators, please take heed.
