SEA SOIL- Vancouver Island Championship BMX Series

2015 Devin & Evin have been battling it out for 2 seasons!!

We just had our first SEA SOIL Vancouver Island Championship Race (V.I.C) last weekend and it was the best attendance ever at the Nanaimo track other than the BMX Nationals!! We would like to thank the volunteers from all the Vancouver Island BMX tracks for making the VIC races such a successful series! Maintaining these BMX tracks takes a lot of hard work and time, from concession stands to operating the goon spoon, thanks again and again!

We would also love to see MORE riders from the Lower Mainland come over and HAVE SOME FUN in the series, there will be over 60 prizes and a Haro race BMX given away at each race!!! Races are either Saturday or Sunday so racers from off the Island can race at another track on the other day i.e. Cumberland, Nanaimo or Victoria to make it worth while.

Come on, all the other cool kids are doing it!

We (SEA SOIL a small family business on Vancouver Island ) have been sponsoring a few events locally but these races have been very well received by kids and their parents so we have been trying very hard to make each year better than the last.
The first year we were the title sponsor the races were basically the same as any other local weekly Sunday/Wednesday race day, so then the second year I asked if I could get more involved and the VIC Committee said "go for it" within reason. It's been great to have some creative freedom for the races.
Last year we gave away 1 Mtn Bike at the end of all five races and around 60-70 prizes at each race.

The Sea Soil Vancouver Island Challenge Series provides island riders the opportunity to compete in a series format. All riders can participate in all races. To keep race fees to a minimum, races are single point ($7 entry fee) AND even better, all tracks are within driving distance so no extra costs for overnight accommodation or ferries!

Race #1 - April 26th, Nanaimo BMX

Race #2 - May 23rd, Victoria BMX

Race #3 - June 6th, Coal Hills BMX (Cumberland)

Race #4 - July 26th, Oceanside BMX (Qualicum)

FINAL Race #5 - September 12th, Nanaimo BMX

~ Title plates awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place Championship riders in each category
All registered riders at each event will be automatically entered into the bike draw
Riders must race a minimum of 3 races plus the FINAL to be eligible for an ISLAND TITLE
Top 3 in each class will be awarded by age & class
Strider, Novice, Intermediate, Expert & Cruiser classes

*1 bike will be given away at each race. No store credit or cash value awarded for bike.
**The Island Series will use the Provincial Point System as set out in the 2015 ABA Rule Book.
