For the 3rd year in a row DVO Suspension has teamed up with Bootleg Canyon Gravity Racing to continue the great tradition of Gravity Racing at the ultra-reputable riding spot known as Bootleg Canyon Mountain Bike Park in aesthetically pleasing Boulder City, Nevada. Please note the new and past sponsors at the bottom of this news story that have helped take this series to the next level. All information including online registration can be found on the official event website HERE.

The event kicks off on Friday, January 19th with packet pick up, registration, shuttle service, open practice for DH and Enduro, plus some night-time Dual Slalom racing. Expect a fully illuminated Dual Slalom course for all three of the events. The lights that illuminate the Dual Slalom course are the same ones used on Hollywood movie sets and at the X-Games. No glare for riders and a photographer's dream. Imagine helium-filled lighting balloons floating over the Dual Slalom course and a rambunctious crowd heckling and cheering from the easily accessed sidelines. A huge thanks to Steve Zvorsky from Sourcemaker Lighting for making this even possible.

By popular demand, Saturday's Super D races will now be an exciting 3-stage Enduro race. All 3 stages will take place on Saturday. There will be a $1,000 cash purse for the Enduro race. For the 1st time ever, you do not need to be a Pro to compete for cash at this USA Cycling race, but you would need to register in the Pro/Open category and have at least the 1-day license. Available through the online registration, or at the ODI on-site registration tents. Enduro cash purse provided by GT Bicycles.

Event organizers have pieced together what they are referring to as a “Dream Gravity Event” with Friday night Dual Slalom, Saturday Enduro and the almighty Downhill race on Sunday.

Cash awards for the series will be $9,300, add another $20,000 in sponsor prizes, $6,000 in raffle items and there will be over $35,000 in total up for grabs.

This series commences on January 19-21, 2018 with the DVO Nevada State Gravity Championships. State/Regional Champions will be awarded in Downhill, Dual Slalom and the Enduro disciplines. This will be the 1st time ever USA Cycling has offered the distinguished State/Regional Championship medals for the Enduro discipline. Winners will remain State Champions until next year at this time. The 2nd event is the DVO Mob n Mojave on February 16-18, 2018 and the Reaper Madness finals on March 16-18, 2018 wraps up the series with style. All events will offer USA Cycling points that count towards qualifying for the Nationals. In everyone's best interest these events are in-between the Southridge Series with the goal of more races, more choices and better competition for all!
