I first got into mountain biking back in the early 90's . I enjoy building my own bikes. Currently own & ride 4 bikes, (though not at the same time)...a 2011 Specialized Carbon Epic Marathon , an 08 Specialized Stumpjumper HT comp, a 2012 Spcialized Camber Expert, & a 1996 GT Zaskar which i've owned since new. I first started mucking around on old bikes as a kid on local farm land & riverside trails. I've ridden many bikes over the years, mainly Gt, Kona & lately Specialized, the above bikes are what I've found suit my riding style best - largely XC, trail with some hill-climbing thrown into the mix. I use the 08 epic on slick tyres to commute 5 days per week, & the Carbon Epic Marathon for weekend fun, the Camber is my current project bike.

cheers for your imput cyberhawk, Thought as much, just wanted to see what other riders thought to be sure. If I'm correct, this is a manual adjuster, the cable type has a small spool to enable open>closed movement.
