Photo Story: Mountain Biking in Chernobyl
@Thustlewhumber: I never said I wanted to go there (and never will go there) , I never said it is completely save but with precautions a visit is possible - At least based on gamma dose rate pictured above. And since the risk of cancer is a stochastic effect I'd state: You MAY have some weird cancer pop up that you may not survive" - since 1mSv increases the risk by 0.005% for fatal cancer. (again: not talking ingestion here...). It seems as it was worth it for the one who did it... Surely not for me.

@Pavel-Repak: I did mention the place of the picture above, which ist after the Sarkophag was in place. The vid is from 2014, before shielding so differen values. The basement of prypjat hospital, which normal ppl r not allowed to enter / different story than being outdoor.

@polarflux: safety depends on behaviour. I would wear a mask if I was there for sure especially moving on a bike. its a controlled area, your are not as free to move as one might think and your cloth are measured for contamination and so on... I didn't say its safe and sound. But ppl tent to exaggerate when it comes to radiation as seen above - its like 'handle with care'. I don't know how the contamination progressed due to weathering etc. But I do think there were precautions taken especily in dusty areas.

... 1 day at the point near the plant pictured above equals around 9 days in average Idaho comparing the gamma dose rate...and this varies over the vast zone around the plant. Well of course, you should take precautions due to possible contamination and be careful what you do, or eat or what so ever... - safety basically depends on personal behaviour. I'm sure precautions were taken during this adventure.

0.9 uSv near the Sarkophag which is housing the collapsed building as seen in the pic ... Don't exaggerate too much.

Interview: The Athertons - "If People Want Gee’s Fort William Race Bike, We Can Make it for Them"
Thanks for the true comittment to the sport and the community. The support for the young guns through the academy had great impact (Maes, Vernon, Edwards...) - I hope your bikes can follow up on this! Furthermore I do hope that after the first dust settles (yeah I'm speaking of massive clouds here.. So the rather distant future) , there is an opportunity for optimizing production to deliver a less individually designed range of bikes to support the average bike-park rider ('s wallet).

Commencal/Vallnord DH Team Signs with Enve & Bell
Actually Max C. doesn't state anything regarding bell/enve and that he is happy about the addition - saying nothing keeps it rather diplomatic. AFAIK this is not a pure commencal factory team so I don't see commencal messing up their al vs c policy - it's more likely a riders', mgmt and cash-flow decision.
