@Rimrider26: Even MIPS has room to criticize as all that its addressing is rotational, and in fact adding a hard plastic layer between your head and the foam (meaning your worse off for linear). Rotational is vitally important to cover for [Fact], but there also remains that low speed linear impact issue that accounts for ~80% of peoples crashes. So ideally if you can cover for rotational, while keeping the softest layer next to your head possible this would be the optimum helmet protection. While of course still protecting against those high-g linear crashes that the standard requires helmets to be built to. So your wanting to know who's making the 'safest' helmet... look for who is protecting against rotational (MIPS or equivalent/small size(in-molding)/less weight), soft layer next to your head(beyond just the foam), and foam technology for those bigger hits. I do love these Bluegrass helmets though! Solid work by them and the overall rider-friendliness they are building to :) And you can finally hear properly while riding... hopefully ;)
