@chrismac70: It's not just the riders wanting more, as we covered in [L=https://www.pinkbike.com/news/explained-how-much-money-do-pro-mountain-bikers-make-for-winning-world-cup-races-in-2025.html]our prize money article from last year[/L], there was an effort behind the scenes in 2023 from XC Elite teams to try and get the UCI to increase the prize money to €10,000 for a World Cup win.

4 Things We Learned from the Loudenvielle DH World Cup
Just because the top riders likely have contracted win bonuses doesn't mean that prize money shouldn't increase for what is the top level of mountain bike racing. When we have spoken to World Cup racers, most aren't happy about the level of prize money currently offered.

Round 2 Fantasy DH League Results - 2026 Loudenvielle DH World Cup
@RichMoore65: The price changes this round were not solely based on performance. After receiving lots of feedback that prices were too low, we implemented a major price restructuring as well as an increase to the price cap after this weekend's race, meaning that nearly all riders increased in cost.

Round 2 Fantasy DH League Results - 2026 Loudenvielle DH World Cup
We have adjusted the rider pricing structure and increased the price cap in response to feedback. This meant every rider had a price change, making most teams go over budget.

Round 2 Fantasy DH League Results - 2026 Loudenvielle DH World Cup
@southshorepirate: There was only a big swing in prices for this round because we have made a major adjustment to the rider pricing with a max cost increase (this was in line with player feedback). In normal cases, when pricing adjustments are made solely on performance, the changes in prices are much smaller.
