Feb 12, 2025Specialized Status 160 S3
$1200 USD2023 Specialized Status S3 for sale. This bike is set up as a single-speed park bike. Throw a drivetrain on it & it'll be a ripping trail bike. It's slack and has a super short chainstay. The mullet setup is fun to jump, it shralps corners with ease, and is just a blast to rip around on.
Asking $1200 local. $150 for shipping.
S3 size. 464 reach in low geo mode, 63.7 head angle, 426 chainstay.
In high mode, it's more like 470 reach and 64.x head angle. I currently have it in high mode.
Bike is setup single speed. It has a Reverse chain tensioner and an 8-speed beefy chain. No broken derailleurs or tossed chains here. You can easily install a drivetrain on it.
Wheels are carbon BTLOS 32mm internal width enduro layup, matte finish. 29" front, 27.5" rear. Sapim D-light spokes, Bitex hubs with an HG driver. I'll also include an XD driver if you want to install a SRAM Eagle drivetrain. Maxxis Assegai front & Dissector rear.
Drivetrain consists of SRAM bottom bracket, SRAM GX 165mm cranks, and is single speed. 1x 14 tooth in the rear, Reverse Components chain tensioner. Aluminum bash guard to protect the Unity oval chainring. I have a spread of rear cogs you're welcome to that span the gamut of size.
Fork is 160mm Marzocchi Bomber Z1 coil with custom matching decals. I have the Firm spring installed, but it'll come with Medium and X-Firm as well.
Shock is the stock DPX2. It has ZERO time on it, and is brand new. I rode this bike with a coil.
One-up 210 dropper & Wolftooth light action lever.
SRAM Code RSC brakes, TruckerCo sintered pads, 200mm Centerline rotors, and a fresh bleed.
Cockpit has an Industry Nine 50mm A318 stem & PNW aluminum bars. New Lizardskins grips with Ibis branding.
Top tube & bottom tube are protected with a Dyedbro kit. Driveside chainstay has an inner tube wrap to protect it. The chain is tight enough that the bike is SUPER silent.
No pedals.
I also have a Marzocchi Bomber coil that I'll include for $100 extra. Install your favorite spring & you have a coil-plush ripper.

SRAM Releases S-1000 Budget Transmission Drivetrain
I'm three cages into the X01 Transmission on my Ripmo.
You can use the steel GX cage as a replacement, and I'd recommend that. It's sturdier and I haven't killed it (yet).
