It's very straightforward. One bolt from the bottom bracket/bashguard, one under the downtube, unplug the connecter, and slide it out. Less than a 1 minute job.

I would also add that I have ridden a number of full power e-bikes and something running each different kind of motor including the Amflow and my personal preference is still the SL platform. They feel far more natural, and the TQ is wonderfully quiet. Sure SL's aren't for everyone but having a bunch of power/weight takes too much away from the handling and enjoyment of riding for me.

I've owned the Fuel EXE for 2 years and ridden it on all kinds of terrain here in Australia, from fast smooth flow trails, jumps and very steep tech. I love the thing, its such a fun and capable bike. I spent several days on the new Fuel+ in the MX setup in Squamish mid last year and it was a noticeable improvement overall. The power delivery felt nicer, the increase in torque was great and one of the biggest positives to me is the increase in battery size and therefore range, which is the main issue I have with the EXE. I will often run a range extender at our local zone to keep up with my friends on their Slash+ and get more than a few laps in. The suspension platform was the other highlight for me, which felt playful and bottomless compared to the EXE which I have tried in a variety of setups including 150/140mm, 160/147mm and 160/152mm. The Fox suspension combo was fantastic for all kinds of trails, I rode everything I would normally ride on my long travel enduro Spire/Dreadnought and I was immediately comfortable on the bike. The fact that I could do massive days without worrying about being stranded was a bonus! Then the ability to have several different setups is a big drawcard for me and I will be ordering one as soon as I can. For comparison I have ridden the Slash+, tried 2 different offerings from Transition among many other e-bikes and I keep coming back to the Fuel+ for top choice as my next e-bike.
