Video: Framed II

by Andi Wittmann

2 years have passed since Framed I was a big success on the internet. After his crash, Andi Wittmann had to pause a while to get back in shape and train hard to be on his top level. In Fall 2012, Andi and I squeezed in about 3 days to wrap the freeride and some freestyle shots in Neukirchen / Austria for the project "Framed 2".

Andi and I just wanted to capture the season in 3-4min and show that it's possible to get up to the top if you train hard and focus on your passion. After all, everyone should get on their bikes to enjoy nature instead of sitting in their offices and watching the sun setting.

Aerial Shots were filmed by airV8, additional footage was shot by Lukas Tielke (Peoplegrapher).

Instead of animating, I decided to film real metal letters, provided by our friend "Luc" (Ludwig Grimm) who did a great job making some nice titles and thanks Rick Macomber for doing a quick test - Voiceover which is somewhere hidden in the video.

Pain is temporary when you are DOPING. Lance is a disgrace. Not just for the doping... For the lying! A quote from someone like this does not justify repeating...

You guys are really butt hurt about the Lance thing. Even with doping half of yall couldn't even finish 1 Tour De France section. I know I am gonna get down voted for this but dang. He's still a great athlete, just made very bad decisions later in life.

Savage riding! Really motivating to get training and get my shoulder back in shape! Don't know if it's just me but his rear hub looked massive in the first shot.

It was cool how you could see his interesting spoke setup in the last slow motion shot.
  • + 1
my thoughts exactly, anyone know the name/ reason for that setup?
  • + 2
 It's called twisted spokeing.
Here's a guy building a 20" wheel; www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LhOaKnCBac
  • + 2
Actually he did it because he didnt have any shorter spokes
  • + 2
That'd do it, seems like such a pain in the as way to build a wheel.
