Video: 6 Things MTB Trail Builders Hate
At least where I'm at (front range in Colorado) most trails are volunteer built, so I don't think they'd like any of that....

First Look: SRAM Releases GX Eagle AXS Wireless Electronic Drivetrain
@TheOriginalTwoTone: The steerer on my bike currently has the OneUp EDC in it. Also there are no secure tapered steerer tube mounts that I'm able to find with a quick google search. Most are for road applications and hold the battery from the top. Not something ideal for mountain biking, for obvoius reasons. The bar end batteries don't fit the typical mountain bike bar width, as they are also for road applications. The underside of the stem mounts are too long for the average mountain bike stem. Seat tube applications don't work with dropper posts or mtb internal routing So you're pretty much left to something more custom or zip ties. All this to say: modern mountain bikes aren't made for Di2 like road bikes are. Di2 in modern drivetrains does not exist in the wide range applications that we all use on our modern bikes today. This is the first 'affordable' electric drivetrain on the market and is a pretty big deal for people who want to try it. Also the wireless makes setup and storage of the batteries much less complex. I don't get what your deal is against it.

@TheOriginalTwoTone: We may have different definitions of 'simple' because I have no clue where I'd put the battery on my bike right now haha

Somewhere around 100th I guess? do I get a reward? Or are we all just saying the highest place we've received in the pinewood derby tournament as a kid or something?

@TheOriginalTwoTone: Possible that I missed something, but Di2 is not on Shimano 12 speed stuff... so you'd have to go with 10 or 11 speed XT/XTR and still have to run wires, store the battery (not something integrated onto mountain bikes like in the road world) to get electronic shifting. So this is a pretty big step for that stuff in mountain biking.
