I'm selling my Golf V5 as I have just got a new job that comes with a company van so it is not needed. It is storm blue and overall in good condition. It has done just under 110,000 miles with mostly VW service history or VW specialist. These engines have a chain not a cam belt so there is no need to worry about that. I got this car as I was fed up with everything going wrong with my previous cars (turbo diesels) and when it did it was always expensive. So its normally aspirated and petrol. Simple and reliable. I have checked all the usual golf faults on this car and it has either had them fixed or they have never occurred. This car has always been looked after mechanically. I have changed a few things on this car. Lowered 30mm all round (still very useable). 18" RS alloys. K&N panel filter. 10mm hubcentric spacers front. 20mm hubcentric spacers rear. Aero wipers. Depo halo headlights in black. Stubby aerial. Painted calipers and guards (black). Front upper strut brace. German autohaus number plate surround. LED interior bulbs. The standard spec on the V5 includes: Auto wipers. Auto dimming rear view mirror. Heated wing mirrors. Height and reach adjust steering wheel. 6 disc in-dash CD changer. Armrest. Sport seats. Electric windows. Climatronic Dual zone a/c. Trip computer. The car has had new front top mounts and bearings. New front and rear discs and pads. New platinum spark plugs. Last serviced at 102,359 miles. New wiper motor. New engine cooling fans. Head gasket. 2 new coils. Dual mass flywheel and clutch at 73,000 miles. The above is in its whole life. The car is washed and waxed every 2 weeks. When I got the car the paint had not been looked after but I have made it lovely and shiny now. Bad points: Generally the paint. Heavily stone chipped. Scratch down the nearside. Scratched mirror covers. I have been quoted £350 by a high end body shop to sort scratch and mirror covers, you will probably be able to get it cheaper. Windscreen has a small chip. Thats all I know of. Mechanically it is sound and I was driving it daily until a week ago when I got my new job. I love this car and it will be a shame to see it go.
