Turned out that when I compress the shaft, little amount of oil was leaking through the rebound knob thus creating/letting air enter the chamber. I suspect that perhaps the o-ring seal has worn out and need replacing. Need to come up with shaft clamp to open things up even further to fix it. Let see if drilling 2 block of wood as clamp will work...............gonna be a busy week end :-)

Hi nikoniko, just one question, when you're bleeding the air out of the system did you did it with the rebound closed, opened or perhaps closed when you compress the shaft and opened when you extend the shaft? The reason I asked this is because the Marzocchi tutorial video said that it should be closed when you do the whole bleeding procedure, this is easy to do when you are compressing the shaft, but extending the shaft with rebound closed is a different tough story. So I figure, closed when you compress and opened when you extend. The thing is when I did this, no matter how slow I extend the shaft, some air seems to manage to find its way to the oil chamber (I heard a blurting sound when doing this). I've bled Fox DHX Air a few times but never have experience this. Mine is the 2008 Roco Air World Cup by the way. Cheers!
