This has been a rad bike to own. I'm a former professional race mechanic, so it has been serviced and maintained over the years in great detail. I've meticulously cleaned and inspected the bike over and have outlined details below. Overall, the bike is mechanically sound. I have no concerns with the flaws outlined and I'd keep riding it without question of the reliability, I'm just ready to invest in something new now. A note on the age of the bike as it pertains to mileage — My wife and I have two little kiddos now so it hasn't seen a ton of trail time the past three seasons. That and I've got other bikes I've ridden so this one has been on less rides than if it were my only bike. It's a great, solid rig and an absolute blast to ride. I've tried to document all of the flaws in the images so there are no surprises. The biggest cosmetic damage is at the bottom bracket from a rock impact getting kicked up by the front tire. The carbon is solid there but the paint shows the worst of it. Down tube is otherwise in pretty good shape but any paint chips/imperfections are pictured. The rims are ding free, fork stanchions and shaft of shock are free of wear or scratches (one tiny knick near the top of the dropper that's smooth to the touch), but overall, a pretty clean bike and is pretty dang quiet too. It's got the expected character that any well-kept trail bike should have. Recent service: - Fork and shock were serviced by FOX last fall but the bike's only been ridden maybe a dozen times since then - Shift cable and housing replaced this spring - Bontrager grips have a few rides on them, but are still in great shape - Chain replaced mid-last season, still has some good miles in it, but this is the second chain on the cassette so you might be looking at one more chain before needing to replace the cassette as well if you stay on top of it Services done to prep for sale: - I did a caliper service and cleaned the pistons as well as a lever bleed so they're feeling good - Brake pads have about 65% life left in them - Stan's sealant in both tires has been refreshed and I swapped out the valve cores for fresh ones - Rear tire swapped out for one with a couple of rides on it, so both have been ridden but have good life left in them - Freehub serviced Build: I bought this as a complete bike, stripped all the parts and built it with the parts I wanted, so it's not a true 9.7 build. Frame is carbon front triangle, alloy rear end. - Stans Flow MK3 wheelset - XTR brakes with Ice Tech rotors 203F/180R - Fox suspension throughout. (36 fork, Float DPX2 shock, Transfer dropper (150mm) *NOTE: this post is only a few millimeters from being bottomed out in the frame, so you need to have a 705mm seat height minimum (measured center of crank spindle to bottom of seat rail), or you'll need a different stroke dropper to get it lower - XT 11 speed drivetrain - crank (175mm), shifter, cassette and an XTR chain - Chromag BZA Carbon Bars (760mm width) - MRP chain guide/bash guard combo - Stem is a 45mm length - XTR trail pedals are included if you want them (little play in the axles, but they spin smoothly) - Shimano PRO Turnix saddle (132mm width) Extras: - Factory Rock Shox shock included (only a few rides on it) - I have some spare Stan's hub parts I can include for when the hubs need bearings Willing to ship this in the lower 48 for $2,250 shipped, or for a local sale I'm more flexible.
