Jul 6, 2012Orange Five 5 frame 16" (Price Drop)
$350 GBPI've just built up an 18" frame as I've grown a bit, so my 16" is up for sale. It's had a raw polished finish since Christmas, when I also gave it a new set of bearings. I have just given it a fresh polish and some new stickers. They are black vinyl, unlike the transparent official set - this will allow the aluminium to oxidise uniformly. Generally the frame is in good condition, with some scratches and a dent from a rock next to the bb shell (which I have tried to show in the photos). There is a bit of paint residue around the welds, although mainly again the bb area; not really noticeable when built up.
The shock is a Float rp2. The stickers are a bit cracked but the shock works well. After long descents it develops a bit of a wheeze but, given that both the other Floats I have ridden recently had the same problem all the time, I don't think this is much of an issue; it goes away in a minute or so. I have just put some fresh float fluid in the can. I have had to put some washers next to the shock hats to make up for the thickness of the paint and prevent the mounts being twisted.
The frame comes with an Orange seat clamp and, if necessary, I could fit a new M:Part headset to get you started.
Anyway, it makes a great bike. Believe the hype!
£350 posted, but I'm open to reasonable offers.
Thanks.
