This bike is like new, just had a $200 service done at Olympia Cycle a few rides ago. Decided to sell and get a road bike. New version of same bike is $1600 on Giant.ca - not much has changed. Large, 1984, Diamondback, Retro Rigid Mountain Bike, Matt Black / Orange. I rebuilt this bike from the ground up in 2013 and rode it lightly ever since. I bought it off the original owner in Prince George who had carried it with him since he bought it to attend college in 1984! It was all original and i tried to keep it that way. It has all polished aluminum Shimano Deor components that are in good condition. Original, straight, shimano rims with brand new rubber! New brake pads and ALL NEW shifter/brake cables and housing. Brand new chain, grips and seat in 2013. I stripped the bike down to a bare frame and and primed/painted it. This bike is an estimated L frame would fit anyone 5'9" - 6'2" ish if i had to guess. This thing is pretty sweet and i loved riding it / restoring it. But honestly, i have 7 bikes at my house right now and i have to sell some off to make room. This is a great bike for ripping the rail trail, commuting to work and just looking really cool in general on a 33 year old mountain bike! I bought this "new" off a friend in 2010 when he broke his hand playing lacrosse, he had the bike for only a few months. This bike is a great enduro/all mountain bike with 6/6.5" of travel and lots of bells and whistles (dropper post, bash gaurd, SLX components and Haynes disc brakes). I posted a link to a youtube walk through i found that shows you the bike very well. The video is not of my bike specifically.... I had the front shock rebuilt last year, other than that this bike is stock. This bike is a great machine and everything is working well, i rode it at kal and ellison trails this week. The dropper post is a bit stick, could use a cleaning and lube maybe? Anyways, great bike for under a 1000$ there isn't many bikes to pick from. Normal scratches and wear and tear for a bike of this age. I just bought a new bike. This bike is great, but i've been riding it for many years and i've decided to pull the trigger on a new one.
