Originally bought in 2018 as a 24” bike from Commencal - for my 8 year old - this bike has been fully professionally repainted and rebuilt twice since then, and is now a 26” rig used for going downhill by my son, Jacob, who’s now 11. The first component upgrades I put on were Shimano Deore XT 4-pot brakes and a KS Lev Integra dropper post, which are still on the bike today and work as flawlessly as ever. Literally one year ago this month, the bike was fully stripped and repainted a custom colour-way with new custom decals, the fork and shock were serviced and the bike was rebuilt from the ground up with new components, changing the set-up from a 24” bike to a 26” bike. This bike has taken on the World Cup track at Fort William, Glencoe, Bike Park Wales, Antur Stiniog, Descend Bike Park and Innerleithen DH trails on a regular basis. It is as close to a kids DH bike as you’re going to get, unless you’re spending £6.5k on a Meekboyz, and it can still be pedalled up-hill thanks to the internally routed dropper post and Eagle drive-train. As well as getting the bike as listed below, I’ll also include the 24” wheel-set with 11 speed NX cassette and virtually brand new Schwalbe Hans Dampf tyres, NX cranks with chainring and GX derailleur. So you can convert it back to a 24” and have everything you need to go back up to 26” when your little ripper is ready. I’ll also throw-in a spare set of 26” tyres - meaning the bike comes with a pair of 26” Michelin DH34s and a pair of Maxxis Ardents - both like new condition. As it’s well used, there are the usual scratches and marks, but the majority of the frame was protected at the point of the rebuild by an auto detailer, so will be in great condition underneath.
