Aug 11, 2025Rocky Mountain Slayer 29 carbon large C90
$3995 USD2024 Rocky Mountain Slayer 29 size large carbon - Almost new, probably has 25-30 miles on it total. There is a small scratch(see pic)on the handlebars and a few little nics on the rim that are there but hard to see. Other than that it looks new as you can see from the pics. I have it priced to move fast. You will not find a nicer, newer one for anywhere close to this price. Rocky warranty transfers to second owner.
Specs:
Frame: Slayer size large/180mm travel/smoothwall carbon frame and rear triangle/Internal cable routing/Penalty box in frame storage/sealed cartridge bearings/2 position axle/Ride 4 adjustable geometry/press fit BB
Fork: Fox factory 38 Grip 2 180mm
Rear Shock: Fox factory DHX with 500lb spring
Wheels: Race face Vault hubs laced to Turbine R rims
Cranks: Raceface Cinch Next R carbon cranks with Raceface 32t chainring
Brakes: Shimano XTR 4 piston brakes with 203mm Ice tech rotors
Drivetrain - Shimano XTR shifter and rear derailleur, Shimano 12 speed cassette and chain
Seatpost: Fox factory 210mm dropper
Bars: Raceface six carbon bars 35mm
Tires: Maxxis Minion DHF 29x2.5 DD front and DHR II 29x2.4 DD rear set up tubeless with an xc cush core in the rear.
Other: One up chainguide and bash guard. Set up with One up EDC, but someone took my multi tool so that is not included. Cane creek 110 headset. Penalty box frame storage with Rocky bags. Warranty transfers to second owner per Rocky Mountain.
I would also consider selling the frame, and fork for $2499, so let me know if you are interested in that. Pictures should show how great condition this bike is in. I just didn't ride it - I'm old(56) and have had back problems. Buyer to pay shipping - likely somewhere between $100-$150 depending how far away you live.

Bike has been ridden a lot but also taken care of. I just changed the oil in the fork and put Push fork seals in it in July. Pics should show the scratches on the frame - there are a few but they are only paint. The fork has some as well, just on the stickers and paint. There is one small Nic on the stancion but it is small and smooth and has not affected performance or tore a seal. Rims have some scratches but are dent free and true. I just re-tensioned them. Chain has lots of life left and cassette is in good shape as well. Mechanically it is in good shape and has lots of life left. hit me up with any questions. Buyer to pay shipping.

Bike is in great shape. It’s a ripper of a bike - will handle all day XC trails or charge big mountain stuff. Very capable. New job at a bike company forces sale. A little cable rub, scuff and a minor couple paint chips are all that’s going on condition wise. Pics should show how good shape it is in. I had 4 bikes while owning this one so not a ton of miles. I bought it new in February. Holler with any questions!

This is the same carbon as the Turq model now. Bike is very solid mechanically and is mechanic owned. I sent the rear shock and Helm fork to Cane Creek this past January and had a complete rebuild done on both. They rebuild the entire internals. I can provide the Cane Creek invoice as proof - I only mention this as it seems everyone says they have done this, but I really did. I also replaced all the bolts and pivots on the frame with a factory rebuild kit from Yeti in January. Again, have invoices from Yeti. Rotor bottom bracket was replaced new in January as well. I took great care of this bike - taking it completely apart every winter and also cleaning, regreasing parts, replacing worn out stuff and maintaining the switch infinity link 3-4 times a year. This was a dream build for me and only ridden in the mountains or at bike parks. I live in Charlotte NC and am a few hours from that kind of riding so really only ridden a handful of times each month. Less in Winter and a little more on summer. Anyway, It shows wear as there are small cosmetic marks(paint chips, scratches, some foot/tire/cable rub). No dings, no dents, and nothing major - just paint blemishes. Only selling as my son started racing DH and I joined him and am buying a bike. No, I don't want your trade - I work at a shop and already ordered a bike for myself. Priced to sell, no low balls please. You won't find a better priced, better taken care of SB6c. In a sea of wagon wheel 29ers don't forget that this bike was an Enduro World Champ winner 2 years in a row.
