It is perfect for 12-16 year olds. The suspension is very squishy and takes impact very well still. If you want to adjust the pressure in the suspension I will add in a suspension pump for 15 USD. The bike is stocked with a shock absorber which with a flick of a button will lock your front and back suspension if you need to climb a big hill it will help a ton. This bike has been used for about 1.5 years and rides solid.
