19 hoursFully updated Santa Cruz 5010
$2000 USDFreshly updated 2015 Santa Cruz 5010 for sale. Frame is in good condition, and all components have been replaced in past few years with latest update of most components done just 6 months ago with (over $2000 MSRP spent to update rear shock, wheelset and tires, brakes, crankset, bottom bracket, cassette, saddle, and grips).
Additionally, the fork was upgraded to 140mm Rockshox Pike Ultimate (+10mm over stock) and -2 degree Works Components angled headset installed in Summer 2021. This brings the head angle to a modern trail bike 65.9 degrees, while maintaining the rest of the bike’s geometry (see chart and photo attached). The result is a very fun combination of the flickable nature of a bike from 2015, but with the stability of a more modern trail bike. Imagine a DJ crossed with a stumpjumper. Honestly, I love it. I also have a 150mm airshaft for the fork if you want to bump it up a bit more, and of course you could re-install a normal headset if you wanted the original geometry.
The bike is ready to ride in great condition. There are some scratches/scuffs on the frame from normal use (although I wrapped the bike and fork with Invisiframe in 2023 so shouldn’t get any more). The fork and shock are recently serviced and running great. The shock has a small spot where some of the black anodizing rubbed off from the derailleur cable (which I have since re-routed to prevent more of this), but this doesn’t affect performance at all.
It honestly kills me to sell this bike, but I just have too many bikes in the garage, especially given my son and daughter are now getting into the sport and have new bikes.

Video: Friday Fails #319
#6 may have had highest badness potential but looks like the guy seriously lucked out on how he landed. #2 and #9 are absolutely brutal

Femur fracture, knee dislocation (eg multiligamentous knee injury including ACL), or both is my guess

Pinkbike Poll: Riser Bar or Extra Spacers Under the Stem?
Yes absolutely. Which also means you can use stem spacers and maintain reach just by rolling your bars forward a tiny bit. This poll is meaningless IMO.
