N.I.C.A. - Cultivating a Love for Mountain Biking
@jesseliberson: That was my idea, but it is against the rules, not sure who would actually check or turn someone in, but what they are doing is not allowed.....and we ride multiple times weekly, so that might be the issue, still getting kids on bikes, thats the point, right?

N.I.C.A. - Cultivating a Love for Mountain Biking
There is one rule that needs to change, MTB is not a seasonal sport, its year round, kids should be allowed to ride year round. I run a mountain bike club at our local High School. We had a NICA chapter start up around here recently, its a great program, which many of my kids are involved in. However kids are not "allowed" to ride out of season with their coaches. If I wanted to be involved with NICA, I was told that I would not be able to run my club year round with my kids, because it would be like having football players practice year round, its not allowed in a scholastic sport. I do not know the answer to getting around that, so I backed off of NICA, and kept running the club how I have been for the last few years. My goal was to do weekly rides, show the kids the trails and how to respect them, with the hope they realize they do not need me to ride, and they can call theirs friends anytime they want to get out in the woods and go for a rip. So far its been working out quite well, and they are defining what riding means to them. XC is a great way to introduce the kids to the sport, and quickly they start to branch out, I don't think limiting their progression is helping anyone, but i could be wrong. We just simply need to expose these kids to the riding world and culture, not doubt its addictive as we all know, show them the way, and let them create their own path, isn't that what they are going to do anyway? If its important enough to them, they will find the time for xc, trail riding, enduro, cx, dh and some racing if they enjoy it. Lets not stop or limit their progression.

Rockshox Monarch RT Specialized Stumpjumper 6fattie 29

$195 USD
Excellent shock removed from a 2017 Specialized Comp Carbon 6Fattie (will fit the 29 also). Shock has under 200 miles of use according to my strava. Has rebound adjustment, as well as a compression/lockout adjustment (more like firm/open) and features the AutoSag system. This shock should fit all 2016-2018 Stumpjumpers in the 6fattie/29 flavor. If you have 2016, this shock is worlds above the fox it came with.

Rockshox Yari Boost Spacing 15mm 150mm Travel 29/27.5+

$365 USD
Very nice, low hour Rockshox Yari up for sale, fork features Solo Air, 150mm of travel (may have a extra air-spring for 160mm if preferred) fork is torque cap compatible, features boost spacing (110x15mm), has 7.25" of steerer tube, and can fit 29" or 27.5+ sized tire/wheel combos. Fork is in excellent condition as shown in the photos, no major marks, no dings, no gouges/scratches, stantions are prefect, fork is buttery smooth and works as it should. I used i on my large Specialzied Stumpjumper 6Fattie, I had 3 spacers under my stem, and ran 52mm wide rims with 3.0 tires and marshguard fender with no issues and still plenty of clearance. One of the smoothest forks I have owned. Fork includes original paperwork and bottomless tokens, along with Rockshox decal. Buyer has the choice of axle options, the original Maxle Ultimate quick release, or the lightweight Maxle Stealth option, let me know which you would prefer. Asking $365, I will ship anywhere in the US, and we can split the shipping cost to be fair.
