Feb 11, 2023READY TO RIDE: Ibis Ripley Gen1
$3000 CADREADY TO RIDE: I am selling a complete Ibis Ripley Gen1 Trail Bike (XC today), asking $3000.00; the bike is in excellent condition, well-maintained, and has some expected wear marks, but most of it is protected by FrameSkin (RideWrap), see photos below. The rear swing arm was replaced under warranty in January 2021 due to a manufacturing defect on my swingarm at the clevis threads.
In February 2023, all pivot bearings, as well as the Fox Fork and Shock, were serviced by SuspensionWerks BC ($460.00), and in October, the wheel was rebuilt with new spokes and nibbles by new spokes and nibbles by Nobl Wheels ($187.00CAD). The drive train is SRAM GX Eagle with very low mileage and 5 to 10 easy XC rides. The bike is a fantastic climber and descends as you expect a more XC-focused bike; you must pick the smooth line.
I am including with the purchase an Ibis Clemens Bearing Tool for Ripley pivot ($60.00), as well as a new RaceFace 32tooth 12 SPEED SRAM chainring ($105) and two new derailleur hangers and a few extra Ibis parts.
I can also include two additional i9 Torch Freehub Bodies - standard Shimano HG and the new Shinamo MicroSpline (complete) for an additional $175.00
Ibis recommended sizing for large is between 175cm (5' 8.75" ft) - 188cm( 6' 2" ft) - I am 178cm (~ 5' 10" ft)
The frame is compatible with 120–140 mm travel forks (a 51mm rake is STRONGLY recommended).
