I started riding on XC trails in Michigan. I ended up moving to Oregon where I truly became obsessed with MTB.
I moved to Utah a few years later but a cardiac arrest and spinal stroke changed everything in my life.
I never wanted an ebike but life changes and you got to roll with it.

Intrusive Thoughts: How Much Can Modern Parts Improve My Old Bike?
I used to have this Sentinel in the alloy version. I was riding it in 2019 in Park City when I had a cardiac arrest. I spent 51 minutes on the other side of this life and death thing. They finally revived me and I spent 2 months in the hospital and received a ICD implant. I also incurred a spinal cord ischemia. The next few years were full of OT, PT, and Speech therapy. I dream of having a non Emtb for lift access days! I get sick of trying to throw a 50lb bike around.
