She shook it off and rode to the bottom and then we went to the hospital. A few weeks later she was back riding and we got her a downhill bike also which helped pump up her confidence again.

This was my wife last spring. She had conquered a few smaller drops and wanted to get this one. The run up to this is very difficult with a uphill and around a tree before your on the ramp. She didn't get enough speed nor lift and this happened... a few bruised ribs and a night in the ER to make sure her head and spine were ok and we went home. 3 weeks later she was back at it and we have ridden all year successfully.

$800 USDBike is in great condition, my wife used it for light trail rides for the last year. We bought it new in the spring of 2018. The only modification is a full fork rebuild last week.
