This is the last and final version of a classic that has been thoroughly modernized. This is what FR bikes used to look like, and now it's a milder enduro bike. Although the frame still has a lot of durability. I haven't ridden it for about 8 years. It was sitting in the basement, but out of sentiment and the stories I've experienced on it, I can't sell it. I decided to thoroughly renovate it. I put in bigger wheels without a problem, the new taper fork also fit because it's a 1.5-inch head tube (only DH bikes had it then). I managed to install the only adjustable seatpost that won't be too long and will fit the diameter of this bike. Originally, there was a very rare size of 30.0, so I added a reduction to 27.2, but there are practically no seatposts of this size. I decided to go with the German XLC, after a very long search. Suntour Aion front made for 150, although it has the option of 160. Very nice and like most suntours from this shelf, it picks leaves and is trivial to service. The pcs can be disassembled with simple tools and the oil can be changed without a problem. The brakes are slx without a hitch. I had the most fun with the wheels because the rear axle is rigid 12mm but for a dh hub with a spacing of 135, which was rare even in 2008 when I put it together. And 36 holes... But after a long search I found fr 30 rims from 2017 and a front hub boost 110mm with 36 holes (I think there are two on the entire internet). Then I put the wheels together without a truing stand and they came out very well. SRAM x 7/ x0 drive in the back and an indestructible nine, above all resistant to all the crap and mud, and also cheap to use. The crank is an indestructible hussefelt. The mallet 2 pedals are practically new (my third set). The frame has a new paint job and new stickers ordered on AliExpress. It's a miracle that anyone had them. And it turned out to be a bit of a classic, a bit not. It rides very well. This bike has soul... and a bit of history.
