Paul Component Celebrates 3rd International Singlespeed Day on November 2nd
I've got Paul V-brakes and hubs on my 2007 Surly Cross Check. I added those parts about 2013. The brakes are the best (rim brake) I've ridden and they're extremely easy to adjust. When I put the bike in the work-stand, the front wheel oscillates back and forth like a pendulum so the heaviest point of the wheel (where the valve-stem is) is always at the bottom. Front hub is still minty fresh. Rear hub ready for it's second service only. This is after years of commuting in Edmonton in horridly cold temps and during the years when the City used ultra corrosive de-icing sludge that turns drive-trains in rust in weeks. The one time I did service the hub and had a question, Paul himself emailed me back within hours. Rear hub uses I9 driveshell, so parts easily available too. All those parts were made in USA. Money well spent on a "keeper" bike if you ask me. #buyniceorbuytwice
