One fork stanchion and the seat post stanchion were both slightly scuffed, both happened in the same 'off' which also happened to be my first ride on the bike. Neither of these have shown any sign of a leak in the 18 months I have had the bike. I loved this bike so much that I have actually bought the same agin but the carbon version. Giant XTC SE In good condition, just doesnt get used anymore. Frame is a size Medium, in great condition bar the odd little scratch and a small dent on the down tube (not at all structural, think it was done whilst putting it on the rack) Rock Shox dart 2 forks - lockout doesn't work for some reason, but otherwise fine. Hope M4 hydraulic disc brakes - 160 front, 185 rear, rear is a hope floating disc, front is a Hayes rotor - pads will need replacing after a few more rides. Shimano Deore groupset (with alivio front mech) Mavic EX325 rims, front has specialized stout hub, rear is shimano Deore. Truvativ XR bar and stem FSA integrated headset Continental explorer tyres Crankbrothers 50/50 pedals Think that is everything! Good Points: Fantastic starter bike, long travel (can switch between 8" and 9"), soaks up all the bumps. New Hubs (see below) Relatively new forks (bought in Nov 2009) Brand new High Roller super tacky Bad Points: This bike has been used and it shows. There are a few scrapes and scratches, as you would expect. NO CRACKS / DENTS Etc. As you can see from the pictures, the fork lowers are quite scratched, the stanchions are in good condition though, no leaks etc. The rear hub has seen better days, HOWEVER, included is a brand new, never fitted Superstars Switch hub to match the front. A new star nut is required (this would cost about 50p from your LBS) Rear shock could do with a new upper bush (these can be bought from TF Tuned for about £10) The rims have a few dings and scrapes, but run fine.
