Hey @spencer81, glad you liked the story. The riding scene has grown in the past 20 years. Right now, India hosts one round of the 'Asia Enduro Series' in Arunachal Pradesh, Indian XC/DH racers are getting closer to the podiums in continental races. Tons of natural trails in the Himalayas. I'm from the south western part of India, a different mountain range - the Sahyadris. A very different terrain to the northern Himalayan region. High end bikes/part are still difficult to find compared to the west or other south east Asian countries. And the additional 50% import duties on the equipment is a hickup for most young riders. A handful of Indian riders have taken up to manufacturing our own DH/Enduro bikes/components too.

Reader Story: Incredible Freeride Adventures in India’s Rugged North

The Zanskar region has the Zanskar river (tributary of the Indus river). The Nubra region has the 'Shyok river' and its tributary 'Nubra River', eventually the Shyok meets the Indus river. 🙂 This place is intense. The altitude, the weather, the terrain to ride... Epic!

The Space Brace are extremely useful! 💯 They've saved me many many times! Love them! Infact Mike Gray helped me buy this pair and a friend of mine brought it along to India. These things aren't available here in India.
