midwestsuspensionco

Midwest Suspension Co. is a remote, mail-in, full-service, totally-rad bicycle suspension service company operated out of central Ohio.

Here at MSC, we believe your bike should feel as good as Fox and Rockshox say it should. We kept running into roadie-mechanics, unwaveringly lengthy service times, and lackluster performance with our freshly "serviced" suspension here in the Midwest - so we're here to fix that!

If you want it plush, if you want it smooth, if you want it affordable - and if you want it NOW; MSC is the only way to go.

Ibis Ripley - AXS, Fox Factory, Magura, Industry 9

$3500 USD
For sale is my heavily upgraded 2021 carbon Ibis Ripley sized medium. As a service manager at a bicycle shop, this bike has been meticulously cared for and serviced. Both the fork and the shock have less than 10 hours on a fresh 200 hour service. The frame has seen less than a dozen rides its entire life, so all of the bearings are basically new. Aside from being slightly too large for me (5’6”), this has been the single best mountain I’ve ever ridden, and I’m really sad to let it go. Here are the specs for those interested: Frame: 2021 Ibis Ripley Carbon sized Medium Fork: Fox Factory FIT4 w/ MRP Air Spring ramp kit & SKF Green wipers and steerer tool insert (fork has not been threaded) Shock: Fox Float Factory 3Pos Wheels: Industry 9 1/1 Enduro S Rear Derailleur: GX AXS w/ Garbaruk Cage & pulley wheels + XX1 cover plate Cassette: GX 10-50 Shifter: AXS Pod Brakes: Magura MT Trail Note: the scuffing on the bars is not a result from any crashes on this bike. The bicycle has never been crashed. Asking 3500 OBO for the full setup with a PNW dropper post and lever. Asking 3800 if you want the AXS dropper instead. Can come with the One Up pedals for the right price. Located in Columbus, OH 43214 thanks for looking! Note: willing to split shipping!

Transition Bottlerocket Small

$800 USD
Hey all, for sale is my beloved 2008 Transition Bottlerocket sized Small. This bike is fun - seriously fun. With its 26er wheels it’s so easy to flick around and it’s super manœuvrable around tight single track. It has 140mm of suspension out back with a Fox DHX Air and 160 up front with a burly Manitou Sherman (20mm Thru Axle). With a DHF up front it also rips corners like no one’s business. Tires have plenty of life left. The Mavic Deemax wheels are sought after wheels for riders and collectors alike for their legendary reliability and robustness - they really can take a beating. The brakes are in great working order, the Manitou Sherman has just received a 200 hour service, and everything else is in great mechanical shape. Being from 2008 the frame could be better cosmetically, but there’s nothing big of note. Being sized small, it’d be great as an all around bike for someone 5’0” to 5’5” or maybe a little taller if you want a nimble jump machine. Asking 800$ OBO, located in Columbus 43214. Shipping could be arranged at buyers expense. If you have any questions feel free to ask! Thanks for looking.

Santa Cruz Chameleon R Large w/ Upgrades

$1450 USD
For sale is my 2021 Santa Cruz Chameleon R sized Large. The Chameleon is renowned as one of the rowdiest aggressive hardtails on the market. It’s seriously fun and playful in its 27.5 + configuration, but can really get down to business with its capability to go mullet or even full 29er. I’ve meticulously cared for and serviced the bike, and to prepare for sale I’ve fully tuned it up with a new GX chain, a 200 hour service on the fork, new 27.5 x 2.6 Forekaster tires and Muc-Off sealant, new brake pads front and back, a full bleed of both brakes, and a new cable for the rear derailleur. Everything’s in great condition and it’s ready to rip. Here are the main specs for those interested: Size Large Santa Cruz Chameleon Frame Boost Spacing NX/GX drivetrain SRAM Guide T 4 piston brakes SDG 150mm Dropper post Fox 34 Rhythm 130mm Raceface Aluminum bars and stem Deity Lockjaw grips WTB STi 27.5 40mm internal rims It will come with the test pedals installed in the listing photos so you can ride it around. The frame is in amazing cosmetic condition aside from some paint chips near the rear stay junction and derailleur. Selling because I’ve found it too big for me. 1450$ OBO thanks for looking!

Custom Built Kona Shonky Dirt Jumper

$1599 USD
This here is my fully custom built Kona Shonky. I really thought I'd love it, but it's just too big for me. Professional custom build on everything from assembly to the wheels. I'm willing to sell outright for listed price. Left some room for negotiation, don't be afraid to send offers. I would also be interested in trading for a Full Suspension MTB either size small or medium OR a size small DJ frame with 142mm thru axle rear and a tapered head tube. I made the mistake of picking a long frame, as they were the only ones in stock and I thought the difference would be negligible but I was completely wrong. I'm 5'6" and the frame size is just too much to playfully whip around for my size, but I absolutely love dirt jumpers, so I'm looking to possibly trade for a smaller size frame. I would also be interested in seeing any full suspension MTBs you guys have for sale! Here are the specs: Custom Built Wheelset: DT Swiss Champion spokes front and back, Rhyno Lite XL Rims front and back. The hubs are the highlight here: Profile Elite MTB rear (206 points of engagement) and a Hope Pro 4 front hub (smooth and strong as hell, handmade in UK). To top it all off, Maxxis DTH tires for the raddest street or dirt jump sessions. Frame & Fork: Kona Shonky Mint size Long, 142mm TA Sliding dropouts. Manitou Circus Expert air fork - 20x110 floating axle. Cranks: SRAM NX 165mm alloy cranks, burly and inexpensive to replace. This choice was very intentional. Controls and Headset: Chromag FU50 bars, ODI Elite Lock-ons OR ODI longnecks, your choice. Cane Creek Hellbender 70 headset. Will most likely not come with Pizza top cop, I'll throw the Cane Creek one on. Brakes: This one is kinda funny, did the rotor size as a joke mostly but the modulation and power is surprisingly nice. 203mm Jagwire rotor with Shimano BL-MT501 stoppers. Seat: Will come with a Cinema Red Ticket Fat DJ Saddle Thanks for your consideration, just shoot me a PM with any questions.
