I'm currently studying Automotive Engineering having loved cars all my life. I am on a 12 month placement with General Motors at their Luton plant; hence the sudden access to a great riding scene! Next stop up North could be Wales with a hint of squishy bikes Razz

Rockshox Argyle 318 - JUST STRIPPED & SERVICED!

$130 GBP
[SORRY NO SWAPS - I DON'T NEED ANY PARTS - ONLY SELLING AS I NOW RIDE LONGER TRAVEL - SORRY NO SWAPS] I have owned these since new and they have only ever been on the one bike. They have never been abused and always been kept clean after rides. They have never even been fitted with a front brake so they haven't had to deal with the extra stresses involved. The rebound adjuster knob is missing. This is a very common fault with these forks. A replacement can be found on eBay for a couple of pounds but I wouldn't bother - it would probably fall out again whilst riding. Instead a 2.5mm Allen key will be included just in case you don't own one. The steerer tube is cut to approximately 170mm (168mm I think) and is fitted with a hollow starnut (easily swapped for standard type in seconds). The only noticeable damage is cosmetic - minor scratches and rub-patches from mud on the tyre. None of this affects how they ride. As mentioned I have literally just stripped, cleaned and serviced the forks using new oil (of the correct quantity and weight). The forks now feel fantastic and the adjusters have the desired effect. I will include the original user manual, brake cable/hose accessory kit (zip tie, bracket, alcohol wipe & adhesive pad), remaining 5 Wt. oil (enough for 2 more services). I will also include the spare preload spacers and branded sweatband (both also unused) if I can find them. £130 or very nearest offer (plus p&p if required). Advertised elsewhere and will be trying to sell this weekend at a race meeting as I need to fund a car event the following weekend. Cash on collection preferred if possible but will happily package and post for very reasonable price. Funds would have to be sent directly (bank transfer) or via PayPal before the forks are dispatched. Any questions just message me and I'll try to reply ASAP. Thanks for the interest, Mike. Factory information: Travel:100mm Spring:Coil Adjustment:External rebound, compression and lock Steerer:Steel 11/8" Crown:Forged 6061 T-6 aluminium Inner Stanchion:32mm 4130 tapered wall steel Fork Legs:Magnesium, 20mm dropout only Brake Mounting:IS Disc Dropouts:20mm Weight:2572g (5.67 lbs) [SORRY NO SWAPS - I DON'T NEED ANY PARTS - ONLY SELLING AS I NOW RIDE LONGER TRAVEL - SORRY NO SWAPS]

200mm/8" at the front and around 165mm/6.5" up to 210mm/8.25" at the rear (as far as I remember). I know that some people upgrade to a higher spec shock and can change the rear travel (due to different eye-to-eye lengths). The brakes work great - easily locking up when needed. I will probably give them fresh fluid before the sale just to be sure. The rear is a Hope Mono M4 with a S.S. braided hose whilst the front is a Hope C2 with a 203mm wavey rotor. Brakes are something that can easily be sold and bought if different brakes are something you'd like.

Yeah this was before it was re-built but I don't think they changed this jump much. Unless you meant my rear wheel - I squashed my tyre a lot for sure! Will be getting this bike running properly again for the summer.

Club Roost DH8 ( 18") DH/FR bike @lower price (NO SWAPS)

$450 GBP
UPDATE!!! MY CAR IS BROKEN (GEARBOX ISSUE) AND I NEED IT GOING SO I HAVE LOWERED MY ASKING PRICE. ONLY RIDDEN ONCE SINCE LAST AD POST AND WAS LOTS OF FUN!!! SEE DETAILS AT BOTTOM... (First off I WONT SWAP AT ALL! Sorry.) Bought this over a year ago but had problems with the 66s that came on it. I have only just got around to fitting some 888s and have ridden it just 3 times. I love the bike and have put a fair amount of effort into getting it going so will only let it go for £500 as I'm not desperate. See the pictures for brief parts list. Will get a video up of me riding it on the weekend just gone so you can see it in action. It's a 2004 frame so is chipped and scratched but I can't find any cracks or dents on it. 24" wheels are not the norm but make it chuckable and great in the tight tech sections. The only real problem is the axle pinch-bolt area of the fork lowers are cracked by the previous fork owner (See last photo) - there is still enough material to hold the wheel in securely or I wouldn't have been comfortable riding it myself! These frames still sell for £600 on CRC and would look fantastic re-sprayed along with the fork lowers - just check out some of the examples here on pinkbike. Overall a ready-to-ride bargain with 8"/200mm travel front and rear. Advertised elsewhere so may not be around for long. Any questions just ask and I'll do my best. JUST SO YOU CAN SEE THIS BIKE IN ACTION - HERE IS A VIDEO FROM THE ONLY TIMES I'VE ACTUALLY RIDDEN THE BIKE. HOPE YOU LIKE IT...http://www.pinkbike.com/video/189888/#top PLEASE READ: -CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF REPLACING THE BOTTOM BRACKET (RIDEABLE BUT DUE REPLACEMENT), GRIPS (PERFECTLY USABLE BUT NEW IS BETTER), AND POSSIBLY CHAIN (SLIGHTLY RUSTED YET PEDALS FINE) -PRICE WITH PARTS REPLACED = £450 o.n.o. -PRICE WITHOUT PARTS REPLACED = £415 o.n.o.
