Ingredients for a road trip: one right hand drive van, three guys and a Virgin, secret agents, some bikes, and a few good reasons.
Read on......It was time to go.
Anywhere.
The Mitsubishi Delica, otherwise known as the "short bus", packed and read to roll.
Somewhere in Oregon...or maybe Idaho, who knows. Although everthing looks calm in the picture the winds were over the top. The Short Bus was getting molested in the crosswinds. This was a two hand affair through here.
Wes had never driven a right hand drive before and was a little hesitant at first. Its really the same thing though, no matter what side you're sitting on you still just need to keep it between the lines.
Terrible picture. 22 hours later we arrived surprised to find patches of snow
I think this was part of the "Roller Coaster" line that claimed Simmon's one year. Anyone who saw him go off this things backwards must have been pumped to see him get up from it. It was insane in person. It's one thing to watch on a vid, another altogether to be there.
This shot gives you a good idea of the terrain. I'd describe it best as "loose coral". There is a load of traction but it's quite easy to get lost as it all looks the same.
Smooth like or smoothest lip? I'm going with smoothest.
Old waterworks.
Brap. Wayne always has to be first.
Style? I was just glad to make it.
The recent rains made it quite easy to shape anything to your liking. If all trail work was this easy I might do it more. Then again I'm certainly not in the picture hold a shovel.
Yes, those are bones. They were stuck in a crack right at the top of a run in for a rather large hip jump. It was a bit creepy.
Wayne took what looked like a harmless tumble in to one of the local fauna specimens.
