Transition Scout, gen 2.

$1600 USD
EDIT: Tentative sale on 5/28. Will mark SOLD this afternoon after deal goes through. NOT SHIPPING as of now. I have a few folks lined up in case I do decide to ship. Selling my trusty steed, a gen 2 Scout with a variety of upgrades/changes. Basic difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2 was a raising of the BB and the bike was specced with 170mm cranks instead of 175 to avoid pedal strikes. One dent on downtube, other than that just normal scratches and dings from a used bike. Regularly serviced. Some info about this bike: Sram GX 11 speed, 28t front, 11-42 rear XT brakes Fork bumped up to 150mm DB Air IL II, rebuilt to new specs last year Ibis 741 Carbon wheelset DT Swiss 350 rear hub w/54t ratchet upgrade Set up tubeless, great tread of front DHF, good tread of DHR rear This is a fantastic bike, but I got rid of my DH bike last year, and ride my hardtail most days, so I'm looking for something with more travel for rowdier trails and occasional park laps. Pretty hesitant to ship a used bike, would much prefer an in-person (covid-aware) local sale. Extras: original shock, 32 round and 32 oval chainrings, original wheelset with studded Schwalbe Ice Spiker tires.

Field Trip: Norco's $3,149 Torrent HT S1 - A Ground Hugging Hardtail
@justwan-naride: thats probably about right. IT was a winter project for me and my son. We bought the frame locally brand new, and then scoured for parts (pinkbike, ebay, lbs) throughout the winter to build up the bike.

Reviewers forgot one thing when setting up hardtail: tire pressure plays a much bigger role that with a FS.

Built up my Chromag Rootdown for 2K, almost all new parts, except for lightly used wheelset and fork. Super fun to ride.

Field Trip: Giant's $1,800 Stance 1 - More Traditional Than Trendy
Id like to see a test where you don't know what bike you are about to ride. True blind testing of bikes. I wonder how different the results would be if the testers did not know the brand/specs/etc.

Built up my Chromag Rootdown for roughly the same using some lightly used parts. Love it!
