Pivot Cycles Announces "Premier" Lifetime Warranty & Courtesy Bearing Replacement Program
A friend of mine had to have his rear triangle warrantied on their Pivot Trail 429 bike because it cracked. Their "warranty" was to force him to a bike shop he did not purchase the bike at that was over 1.5 hours away. The kicker is that in order to get the bike warrantied you have to pay all associated costs with the bike shop tearing the bike down and rebuilding it. A job he could have easily done himself. That cost was over $700. If you think pivot is warranting your bike then get ready to break out the wallet and have everyone involved be taken care of financially besides you. I have personally had a bunch of bike frame parts warrantied by other manufactures and have never once paid a dime for it. Pivot really are the dentist bike brand.
