If you are looking at this ad, then you know what you are looking at. This is a Phil Wood spoke machine that was purchased from an estate sale of a bicycle shop a few years ago; the owner passed away, and I do not know the history of it. Recently the machine was fully taken apart, cleaned, re-lubricated, assembled and calibrated for a 14g spoke. During this process, the non eccentric cam followers were replaced along with the crank handle, spoke flipper, and one of the pivots (these parts came from Phil Wood). The spoke die appears to be fairly new and was rotated to the freshest side for calibration. A new shipping / base plate was fabricated out of particle board since the original was damaged and in rough shape. This is an older machine #822, and is flame cut. The newer machines are fully machined, and do not have rough cut edges on them. The front gauge out the machine has been glass bead sand-blasted, and is no longer anodized (I found when it gets dirty, you can use your favorite degreaser to wipe it down and it looks great again) Unfortunately, Phil Wood no longer sells this item for the older machines, so it was cleaned up rather than replaced. The steel parts have been treated with a rust inhibitor as these machines like to flash corrode. This can easily be removed by wiping it down with a clean cloth, and it should protect it in the future. The purchase of this machine will include: Spoke machine #822 Spoke tray Wooden Base Short spoke holder (2) Long spoke holders (one can be modified for straight pull spokes) Combo 14 / 15g calibration gauge Other accessories and replacement parts can be purchased from Phil Wood. These machines are currently "unavailable" new through the Phil Wood website. New ones are over $7k. Shipping costs are expensive since this is somewhat heavy and fits into a larger box. This Rock Shox Lyrik RC fork was removed off a brand new Trek Slash mountain bike. It has a cut 1 1/8" to 1.5" tapered steertube which is 8" in length. It features 15x110mm dropouts which is the new BOOST standard. There are no visual damages on the fork.
