Sure you can, just throw a singlespeed kit on there. And get a better stem if you haven't already, the stock one was a real pain in my ass.

No, it's mostly stock still. I change the bar, stem, pedals, tires and rear hub only, and I have some bmx cranks for when I get a new frame.
