2017 Specialized Crux size 56 cm customized as a Gravel Grinder/CX/Mountain hybrid build with a mountain cockpit instead of drop bars for better off road handling. Any of you who have ridden Grinduro will understand this purpose-built bike, which is even versatile enough to handle the Tour de Tahoe 72-mile road ride and on/off road bikepacking comfortably. Many upgrades from stock including Paul Component Klamper front and rear disc brakes, Paul Component Chim Chim bar ends, Race Face mountain bars and 10-speed Shimano Tiagra handlebar shifters. Other cool features include a Praxis crankset and Specialized Trigger 700x38 tires. The Specialized frame is E5 Premium Aluminum that provides a stiff, lightweight and responsive feel that’s purpose-built to withstand the rigors of cross racing and gravel adventures. Tubing is internally formed to make shouldering a breeze along with a semi-compact geometry for predictable handling and fast accelerations. The FACT carbon fiber front fork was designed to increase steering response and rider input for tight turns and all out F-U-N. There are very few hours on this bike and it’s in great shape. We have too many bikes in the stable and this one was hardly ridden, so it’s up for grabs to a deserving buyer who will appreciate this dirt road/singletrack-seeking, steeple-chasing steed
