I bought it with the ridiculous fork, it was my original intention to replace it. But with the spring set tight (it has compound dual rate springs) and thicker fluid it actually grew on me. Once I'm on it, the chainstays are horizontal to the ground. Also, the heaver front offsets the Jackal's notorious rear weight bias. You can practically land a jump sideways and the rake will pull you straight.

Santa Cruz Jackal 06

$550 USD
Update: I've reduced the price because all of you are apparently cheap bastards. I'd just hate to see this bike sit here another summer without it being used. This is a Santa Cruz Jackal in great condition that has been meticulously well maintained. The rear wheel is nearly brand new, the chain is new, the front bake is new with only one hill descent on it, and the cables are all new. Both wheels are perfectly true and were never adjusted/respoked. The frame is a bit dirty in the pictures, but it's in near perfect condition under that dirt. I hate to see it go, but since I moved here from Atlanta I've only ridden it once. - 7-speed Shimano XT derailleur - Marzocchi Bomber with a few scratches, no leaks, fluid is full synthetic Mobil1 ATF (excellent foaming resistance -- much better then factory weighted mineral oil) - Avid BB7 front / Avid BB5 back - Thomson Elite seat post with WTB seat - Wellgo pedals - Several Truvativ parts - 3 piece lock-on OURY grips - MAXXIS Holly roller tires with downhill rear tube - Built in bottle opener. Really. - FREE (not shown): - set of knobby tires (I think Michelins) in good condition - BELL bike pump - Masterlock U-Lock - box of miscellaneous parts See many large detailed pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/39500066@N05/
